Wood flooring Installation and Restoration in Luxembourg

We will install any wood floor of your choosing in a professional and timely manner.

Top-nailed Wood Flooring: A traditional technique of laying wood flooring, which is secured to the ground with nails.

With this installation method, the wood floor is either nailed to a subfloor (i.e., a hidden layer) or, in the case of solid wood, screwed together. The advantages of top-nailed wood flooring are that the floor remains reusable and that the method is very ecological. However, the downside is that the process is laborious, and only an experienced professional would know how to carry it out.

Floating Wood Flooring: Floating wood flooring is simple and practical to install on almost any surface, as long as it is flat.

One advantage of floating wood flooring is its removal is just as simple and quick as its installation. However, the subfloor must be flat and solid (no carpet). If not, it must be leveled before installation. The major downside is that it is not suitable for underfloor heating installation and that it degrades more quickly than normal wooden flooring, which is securely fixed to the ground.

Glued-down Wood Flooring: Glued-down wood floors have a long lifespan and are easy to sand and maintain. However, their removal requires considerable effort and time.

Attaching wood flooring to the substrate with adhesive has the advantage that the bonding of most wood species is suitable for underfloor heating thanks to the efficient heat transfer. Furthermore, the wood floor can be easily sanded and maintained. However, it is imperative that the subfloor be horizontal, intact and free of dirt. In addition, you should thoroughly clean and prep the area before installation because once the wood flooring is glued down, it is difficult to make adjustments.

Restoration: You can count on us to carry out any repairs or renovations to your flooring.

Wood flooring is able to be sanded several times, re-glued or treated with an oil finish, and as a result, we can restore your wood flooring, even after several years of use, to a nearly-new condition. The prerequisite for such restoration is that the wood flooring is securely fixed to the ground.
